For All Your Disney Vacation Needs

Part of Their World

During our upcoming Mommy/Nana/Kiddo trip to Walt Disney World, we went through our usual process of picking a resort. We started value, since it's just a 3 day trip and we are on a budget.   I let my daughter look through the value resorts as we discussed the "next" trip we would take...someday.  She immediately was drawn to All Star Movies, especially the Toy Story Section. Let's discuss how we ended up booking Art of Animation and WHY!

It's always a toss up with us when picking a resort. Our budget is usually pretty modest so we only stay Deluxe on special occasions (Like Girls Getaway Weekend).  On the other hand, I'm not a HUGE fan of Value resorts. I don't like the double beds, the resorts can be crowded (food courts) and loud.  When my daughter picked All Star Movies I cringed a little.  A moderate would cost us DOUBLE for this short trip (and lack of great discounts). I was torn...what were we to do?

One day I was considering our options (and budget) and it dawned on me that there was one option we hadn't considered, and that I hadn't even shown Kennedy...Art of Animation! We typically overlook this AMAZING resort for 2 reasons:

1) Suites...they are awesome but usually a bit pricey for us and being a family of 4 we don't need that much space. We'd LOVE to stay here in the future.

2) The Little Mermaid rooms are ALWAYS excluded from the discount. It  doesn't typically make sense for us to book them.

With the winter discount being so measly, the cost difference to move to a Little Mermaid room was very minimal...and since I've only visited the resort and not stayed here, it sealed the deal!! Let's talk about why I love Art of Animation!!

From the moment you enter this resort, it's a bit different than most value resorts. The sleek lines and colors make it feel much more modern.

I love how the drawings start out as basic black and white sketches and eventually turn into  animation stills.

Once outside the elaborate themeing continues you will feel like you were dropped right into the movies!

As you  exit the lobby and take a left, you'll walk through the Lion King section. This section, like Nemo and  Cars is all Suite rooms.

The view from the Little Mermaid rooms vary but I love this view of Pop Century!

The larger than life Ursula and King Triton!

I know my kids will go nuts for this section.

Once inside the room you'll notice a huge departure from the stark, generic decor in the other value resort rooms.

I love the beds!

The beds are still just doubles unfortuantely.

Check out the shower curtain?

Still just one sink!
 More outside!

We are super excited to try this resort out even if for just a few nights.
