For All Your Disney Vacation Needs

Monday Savings Monday - Shipping to the Resort

I'm a huge fan of Disney dining's a convention way to prepay for your meals AND save a little money along the way.  Even with all the yummy food that comes with the plan, we often find that there are a few things we could save on if we purchased them elsewhere and in advance.   You have a few different options when pre-ordering items.

1) Use a local Grocery Delivery Service like Garden Grocer. You can head to their site, pick out the grocery items you want and pick your delivery date. They do charge a delivery fee and things in the immediate area outside Walt Disney World can be a bit more expensive than you are used to at home

2) Pack a few extra's in your luggage! We've been known to toss some granola bars, pop tarts or other snacks in our checked luggage. We don't usually put much in there simply due to weight but if you are going on a shorter trip this might be a good option.

3) The third, and my favorite way to pre-order and ship item is Amazon Prime!! If you don't have a membership, the first 30 days are free and then it's $99 a year.  You'll get the opportunity to purchase many items with free 2 shipping.

The part of the membership that comes in handy is the Prime Pantry. For just $5.99 you can "fill" a box with grocery type items. The shipping is usually a little longer than 2 days but not much.  Things we often order:
  • Bottled Water
  • Snacks (pretzels, crackers, etc...this for when the kids get hungry and it's not convenient to eat a full meal or snack)
If we are there for an extended period of time I may also buy toiletries to save room in my luggage!
  • Shampoo/Conditioner
  • Baby Soap
  • Deodorant
  • Sunscreen
When we are traveling with little ones, we also use this service for order baby supplies!
  • Diapers
  • Wipes
  • Formula
  • Baby Food and snacks
Overall it really saves us money! For instance, for just $3,97 you can order a package of 12 bottles of water!! That's only $.33 per bottle instead of almost $3.00 per bottle in the park!

When shipping be sure to address the package to your resort, including both your name and Resort Confirmation number

For example:

Art of Animation Resort
1850 Animation Way
Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830
C/O Jane Smith-1ABC1234

ETA as of 11/17/2016

Please note, Guests staying at Walt Disney World Resort hotels can receive mail throughout their stay. Occasionally, some Guests choose to ship items in advance of their vacation to help save luggage space.

If you intend to receive mail during your vacation, you should be sure the letter or package:
  • Includes the mailing address of your Disney Resort Hotel
  • Clearly features the word “Guest” on the front and the date of your arrival

Please note that a $5 per package handling fee may apply to all packages that are received through the Front Desk or are delivered to your Clients' Disney Resort hotel room.
