For All Your Disney Vacation Needs

My Favorite Things- Counter Service

I'm excited to start sharing a new series all about my favorite things at Walt Disney World (and maybe even Disney Cruise). For the first installment, we are going to talk about my favorite quick service restaurants! These are in no particular order and there might not be one for every park..remember these aren't just generalized recommendations but my personal favorites!!

Captain Cooks

Captain Cooks is located on the 1st floor of the Polynesian Village Resort. It's tucked away down a little hallway so don't be afraid to ask for directions if you can't find it. Staying Deluxe isn't always in our budget...but visiting is!!  I love to take some time out of our day and drop in for dinner. Not only are the nachos AMAZING but...

You can head to the Barefoot pool bar and grab a drink! My favorite is the Pina Colava! Nothing says a relaxing vacation more than a fruity drink with tropical surroundings!

P.S. This resort has a kids club! Be sure to make reservations but it makes it the perfect adult only date night hot spot with the kids not too far away!

Be Our Guest

I know this one is kind of obvious but I really love lunch here. I'm not a fan of breakfast per say and dinner was OK, but I really love lunch! I've had a few different items off the menu and everything is great! Plus the restaurant is just so magical! Bonus points that I get to use counter service credits here!!

Plus the dessert....oh the dessert!!

Contempo Cafe
Another resort favorite is over at the Contemporary resort. First of all, the Contempo cafe is smack dab in the heart of the resort.  There is something so Disney about sitting and watching the monorail go by. I love this location because of the non-traditional this delicious steak salad!

They are also famous for their seasonal cupcakes!  They have had some yummy creations in the past!

Sunshine Seasons
An in-park favorite of mine is located in the Land Pavilion right next to Soarin'. This location offers a WIDE variety of items for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Plus they use some of the veggies grown in their very own green house (Living With The Land).

Plus the desserts...oh so yummy! Are you sensing a theme yet?

Katsura Grill
An unlikely addition to the list is the Katsura Grill in Japan over in EPCOT's World Showcase. This has been a favorite of mine for years (back when it was the Yaktori House). Don't get me wrong...I'm not claiming this to be authentic Japanese food BUT it's really delicious and something other than burgers and fries!

Landscape of Flavors
I do love the resort food options, but is it a surprise that I've picked a value resort as my next favorite? Landscape of Flavors offers some unique and delicious options...including a make your own pasta bar! This Italian Girl loves some pasta!! This one's a bit out of the way but Art of Animation is worth taking a tour of if you have some free time!

Earl of Sandwich
With so many options at Disney Springs, I love this really affordable, quick option.  Earl of Sandwich serves up a variety of toasted sandwiches for just $7 each!! If you are out of quick service credits or just want a fast and easy option, this is the place for you!!

Boardwalk Bakery
Last but certainly not least is the Boardwalk Bakery...but wait, weren't we talking about counter service meals? Well the Boardwalk offers some really delicious sandwiches PLUS you get to select one of their delectable baked goods as your dessert (2016 only).  It's a quick walk from EPCOT or any of the surrounding resorts.  This is my favorite resort hands down so any excuse to visit this resort is ok in my book!
